PEMON RAMI CONVERSATION AND BOOK SIGNING THE EVOLUTION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN FILM, THEATRE, TV, ART AND CULTURE IN CHICAGO

Pemon Rami is a versatile talent in entertainment, recognized as an author, award-winning international film producer, and director. He serves on the Illinois Arts Council and the Luminary Board of the Independent Film Alliance. A former professor at Loyola University, he was also the Director of Educational and Public Programs at the DuSable Museum of African American History. Rami has contributed to notable films like “The Spook Who Sat by The Door” and “Mahogany,” and is known for producing “Of Boys and Men,” featuring Angela Bassett and Robert Townsend, and “93Days,” starring Danny Glover and the soon to be released “A Boy Named Bobby.”
